Prague, March 21, 2024 a guerrilla happening took place in the Veletržní Palace, intentionally disrupting the opening of the National Gallery Prague’s spring season. The happening was organized by a Prague-based artists’ collective, who framed it as a form of protest and an expression of solidarity with Palestinians. The collective behind the event comprises multidisciplinary designer and artist Yara Abu Aataya, filmmaker and social anthropologist Pavel Borecký, architect Lynda, artist Epos257, artist Sany, photographer Kajetán Adler Jablonský, artist Vladimír Turner, musician and visual artist Vladimír 518, photographer Michal Blecha, artist Tom, musician Tomáš Klus, architectural historian and founder of VIPER gallery Irena Lehkoživová, photographer Shawky Gamal, curator and cultural organizer Jaroslava Tomanová, and publisher Tomáš Hajzler.
