In 2014, marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of communism, I decided to organize a street art festival celebrating graffiti and the people who were involved in it even before it arrived here. I invited several legendary graffiti artists, including the New York icon T-Kid. The festival took place at Prague’s Trafačka and was a great success.
Press release: The graffiti phenomenon arrived in the Czech Republic 25 years ago, along with our freedom after the fall of the Berlin Wall. To commemorate this anniversary, the Past Present Future festival will showcase graffiti legends who started their work before 1989 and are still active today. The program includes exhibitions, murals around the city, and the premiere of the documentary Style Wars 2. The accompanying program will feature graffiti workshops, discussions, a Fashion Fever bazaar, and an alternative Prague tour with a street artist: T-Kid (USA), Mick La Rock (NL), RosyOne (CH), Jake (NL), Political Sprayers (DE), ZebOne (CZ) and others.
