In 2018, Montana Cans and Reebok decided to collaborate and merge the well-known graffiti spray paint brand with the famous sports brand. They approached me and the acclaimed Spanish artist Felipe Pantone to become the faces of Reebok, alongside American celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid, and Teyana Taylor. This global campaign was filmed in Los Angeles, in Hollywood, where we also created graffiti that became an integral part of the campaign’s visual identity. The whole experience was almost amazing, as we were invited to represent the brand and contribute to a project that bridged two worlds: urban street art and streetwear fashion that is close to our hearts. Reebok’s approach was refreshing; they didn’t try to impose anything on us. They simply told us, “We want you to be yourselves – dress as you feel comfortable.” And when we asked what kind of graffiti they expected, they encouraged us to create something authentic and true to who we are. They wanted real representatives of our subculture, and that made the experience even more exciting.
For me, as a girl from the Czech Republic, it was an incredible honor to be chosen for such a global campaign, especially since they didn’t choose someone from the USA or Australia, but a girl from Prague! It felt like an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime, and I am grateful to have been a part of something so unique and groundbreaking.
